AXIS

13,500 SF Living Space / Modern

A restrained modern composition layered with symbolism and references to the natural world.

Circulation and spatial sequencing incorporate elements of a lake (reflection pond), a full moon (monumental circular light source), an architectural forest (structural “trees” supporting floors and roofs), and an ascent to a summit (bespoke stair rising through an indoor wildflower garden beneath a 30’ x 75’ skylight celebrating Utah’s blue skies).

The home emerges from the hillside as a natural extension of the topography. Living spaces are carefully positioned to maximize surrounding views, while subtle references to midcentury architecture introduce nostalgia and authenticity.
