Embedded into the hillside, this home utilizes two semi-subterranean garages and living green roofs that extend the natural landscape over the structure. 

Curving roof forms rise toward sunlight on expressive structural ribs, allowing controlled daylight to warm and animate the interior. Generous overhangs protect the western façade, while the primary stair functions as a light catcher, drawing natural light deep into the lower level. 

Stable existing bedrock was exposed and utilized as natural retaining support, minimizing the need for imported materials and additional retaining structures.
