CASCADE
Oriented to sweeping eastern views and shaped by a sidesloping site to the north, the home is organized as a series of spaces that cascade down the hillside. As the architecture follows the natural grade, primary living areas are drawn outward toward the panorama—and, by chance, toward the ski run that borders the property. Three existing pines at the center of the lot became the project’s anchor, establishing a focal point around which the entry sequence and feature stair revolve. Descending through the home, occupants move with the terrain, continually reconnected to the landscape through expansive glazing at every level.
